GREEN END AVENUE SHOULDER WORK SCHEDULED
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (JUNE 17, 2021) – Shoulder work is expected to take place on lower Green End Avenue starting Wednesday, June 23.
Public Works Director Robert Hanley said the project by East Coast Construction will happen in the Green End Pond area near the intersection with Miantonomi Avenue for a couple days.
While construction is ongoing, Hanley said traffic will be detoured around the area by posted Middletown Police details.
Motorists are asked to use caution when driving through the area and seek alternate routes whenever possible to minimize delays.
“That portion of the road needs some help, some rebuilding, so we felt this was the best approach,” Public Works Director Robert Hanley said. “East Coast should only be there for a couple days, provided the weather and everything else cooperates.”
