Middletown Fire was busy Saturday with a rescue at the furthest part of the Norman Bird Sanctuary.
Middletown Fire was busy Saturday with a rescue at the furthest part of the Norman Bird Sanctuary. Interim Chief Kevin Partridge said the department received a call about a woman who was injured at the Third Beach Road nature preserve. Led by Battalion Chief Brian DeFreitas, the crew was able to locate the woman using the GPS signal on her cellular phone, stabilize her and take her carefully from the bird sanctuary for additional assistance.
