Tropical Storm Elsa arrived Friday morning in Middletown, with no major issues reported.
MIDDLETOWN – Tropical Storm Elsa arrived in Middletown with some rain and wind this morning. At about 9, a lone man walked Second Beach, buffeted by the 20 mph winds. There were no surfers in the water, with smallish, choppy waves not conducive to riding. Middletown Fire, Police and Public Works reported no storm-related problems, but emergency personnel stood ready in case the situation worsened.
