John Moreau says "Thanks!" every year for the work of Middletown Fire after he suffered a cardiac event on July 31, 2018.
MIDDLETOWN -- Three years ago today, John Moreau suffered a significant cardiac event, eventually leading to cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated by personnel with Middletown Fire and taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts for an emergency life saving procedure. Annually, on his anniversary, Moreau has stopped by with a card and treats for the firefighters on duty before making his way to Charlton to do the same. Personnel offering assistance that day included now retired Chief Peter Faerber, now Battalion Chief Brian DeFreitas (pictured with Moreau), now Battalion Chief Thomas Welch IV, now Lieutenant Matthew Gill and now Lieutenant Kevin Mancini. Thanks to Middletown Fire for helping keep the community safe.
