Seven firefighters led by Middletown Fire Lt. Nate McGillivray recently completed Public Safety Rescue Swimmer training in Charlestown. The course held near and in the Charlestown Breachway prepares rescuers for a wide variety of emergencies.

The Little Compton, Tiverton, Narragansett and RI Department of Environmental Management were among the agencies that sent personnel for training.
