THE OUTREACH DEPARTMENT WELCOMES THE NEWPORT JAZZ ASSEMBLY BAND IN CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (JANUARY 23, 2025) – In honor of Black History Month, the Town of Middletown’s Outreach Department — in collaboration with the Newport Festivals Foundation — welcomes the Newport Jazz Assembly Band for a performance on Thursday, Feb. 6.
The free event starts at 6:30 pm in the Middletown Public Library, 700 West Main Road.
The show is geared towards music lovers of all ages, with time for questions and answers throughout the one-hour performance.
The Newport Jazz Assembly Band visits schools throughout New England to introduce students to the history and traditions of jazz music and culture through its performances and discussions.
